Wolfenden welcomes new business development manager: expansion and investment in the South West
Continuing with the company’s investment programme and strategy for growth, Wolfenden are pleased to welcome George Mallen as business development manager, with specific responsibility for the South West region.
George brings vast dairy expertise to the role, having spent his career in animal feed, AI and genetics for farming, as well a knowledge of the concrete industry from five years spent as public sector manager at Jewsons. Most recently, and prior to joining Wolfenden, George worked with ForFarmers, the international, Netherlands-based company which specialises in innovation, producing food sustainably, and research into improving animal health and animal welfare. George also brings a wealth of knowledge from Genus ABS, the largest cattle breeding business in the world.
Commenting on the new appointment, Richard Moody, managing director at Wolfenden, said,
“We’re delighted to welcome George to the Wolfenden team. His knowledge of region and his relationships with farmers across the South West will be particularly valuable for our customers there – as someone on the ground who has an in-depth understanding of farmers’ needs and issues, gained over many years in the sector.”
“I’m excited to be working with such a forward-thinking and innovative company. Richard talked me through Wolfenden’s ambitious plans and the investment in their Supa ranges – including the new Supa Green products – and I can see that these will be of real benefit to the farmers I know and have worked with. The environmental and sustainability focus at Wolfenden, combined with their emphasis on providing farmers with products that improve herd health while offering cost-effective, more durable products, is a compelling offer and I’m very pleased to be able to represent Wolfenden in the South West.”
